Dear Reader

Dear Reader is a web app that delivers serialized, personalized horror fiction. You create an account, answer optional questionnaire prompts about yourself, and an AI writing engine weaves those answers into an authored story arc — one chapter a week, plus, if you opt in, occasional in-character letters from the story's antagonist.

How it works

1. Create an account — with an email and password, or with Google.
2. Choose an intensity tier and list any topics the story must never use. A one-tap Lights On control instantly drops everything to the gentlest setting.
3. Answer optional prompts. The more you share, the more personal the story — strictly at the tier you choose, and never beyond it.
4. Read a new chapter each week; optionally receive letters by email.

What data we use, and why

We collect only what you type into the app, and use it solely to write your story and run the service — never for advertising, and we run no analytics or trackers. You can export or permanently delete everything at any time.

If you sign in with Google, we use it only to sign you in and to receive your email address. We never post anything to your Google account, and we store no Google profile data — no name, avatar, or contacts. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

Dear Reader is fiction and entertainment, for adults (18+). It is not a crisis service, not therapy, and not monitored in real time by humans.
